SURA Asset Management is part of Grupo SURA, providing investment management services across Latin America, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments. SURA Asset Management was established as a company in 2011, with the acquisition of a major pension fund, investment and life insurance operation in Chile, Mexico, Uruguay, Peru and Colombia, by Grupo SURA. Its history, however, dates back to 1981, with the emergence of the individual savings pension system in Latin America, when the first AFPs were founded in Chile, including the current AFP Capital. Through its operations today it presents a wide range of financial products and services, in two business lines: Savings and Retirement, and investment management.
