The IKEA Foundation is a strategic philanthropy that focuses its grant making efforts on tackling the two biggest threats to children’s futures: poverty and climate change. It currently grants more than €200 million per year to help improve family incomes and quality of life while protecting the planet from climate change. Since 2009, the IKEA Foundation has granted more than €1.5 billion to create a better future for children and their families. Founded by the Kamprad family, owners of IKEA.

With Reggeborgh Foundation we strive to contribute to ‘Een gezonde toekomst voor iedereen’ (A healthy future for everyone) from a socially responsible entrepreneurship perspective. We do this with special attention to sports, medical innovations, top talent and regional involvement. Also on behalf of our affiliated partners VolkerWessels, DW Property, Prescan and Reggeborgh we support various social initiatives and charities. For example, we are the main sponsor of the Reggeborgh Skating and Marathon Team, we finance various medical scientific studies, we are one of the partners of the Reggeborgh Research Fellowship and we support Olympic and Paralympic top athletes and talents.

The Van Leer Group performs the holding function for all the Van Leer charitable activities. As such supervises its investment portfolio and the governance of its charitable activities. This includes overseeing the work of the Bernard van Leer Foundation to help all children get a good start in life; as well support to the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute and the Jerusalem Film Centre, focused on strengthening democracy, equality and regional peace.
