A'Sharqiya Investment Holding Company SAOG is an Oman-based company engaged in promoting new projects in Oman and overseas, acquiring existing businesses, as well as investing in local and overseas financial markets. Additionally, it contributes to the development of Oman in line with the policies and priorities pronounced by the State. The three main drivers of our investment strategy are: 1) Visible Cash Flows- can be either in the form of dividends, interest income, lease income or operating cash flows from subsidiaries, 2) Clear exit- there is a well-defined exit strategy for the investment and 3) Diversification- optimal diversification among asset classes and different sectors within asset classes We believe in long-term investments to ride through the wave of short-term fluctuations in asset prices. We strongly believe the optimal returns can only be achieved when both entry and exit for investment is driven by the fundamentals of the asset and not by market conditions. A’Sharqiya Investment Holding Co. SAOG (SIHC) was promoted in 1998 mainly by a wide section of investors hailing from the A’ Sharqiya region with a mission for the development of the region and the country at large through promotion of projects of regional and national importance. The company was promoted with a paid-up capital of RO 6 million of which 40% was floated to the public during the IPO. The current paid-up capital of the company stands at RO 9 million. The company’s shares are listed and traded on the Muscat Securities Market.
