The Waitt Foundation is a grantmaking organization that provides funding and resources for ocean research, policy, marine protection, and Blue Prosperity initiatives around the globe. We are a founding member of the Blue Prosperity Coalition, a global network of organizations working together to provide support and technical expertise to committed governments around the world in implementing sustainable ocean plans.

Avalon Capital Group, is a wholly owned private investment company with diverse interests, including public and private Investments in real estate, technology, healthcare, finance, and entertainment. It was founded by Ted Waitt, co-founder of Gateway, Inc. Avalon has offices in La Jolla CA, and North Sioux City SD. Avalon created and supports the Waitt Foundation and Waitt Institute. They invest across Real Assets (Real Estate, Commodities, Crypto), Private Equity, and Public Equities. Additionally, they focus on special projects in Healthy Food, Restaurants, Aquaculture, Hydroponics, Food Production, Alternative and Renewable Energy, and Energy Efficiency.
