Aquasourca is a multi family office based in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg. Established in 1996, it is an investment company with permanent capital, active in the fields of private equity and real estate. \ \ Aquasourca is a family office managing 200 million in private equity investments in small-cap companies and real estate.\ \ In contrast to the typical investment profile of German family offices, which often invest in sectors and regions in which they are well versed, Defforey has no sector focus and invests internationally in order to diversify as broadly as possible. Aquasourca mainly takes minority shareholdings. \"We don't want to be in charge, but we still want to be an active minority shareholder.\" \ \ This is not always understandable for all companies, especially not in Germany, says Defforey. We want to be seen as a partner that not only contributes capital, but also brings in its expertise. Almost all companies in which we invest face the same challenges of managing the necessary growth, financially and structurally. \ \ Aquasourca is represented on the board by an investment manager. Defforey and her investment managers, who are assigned to specific countries, keep an eye on medium-sized companies with a turnover of 15 million to 100 million euros. An investment is considered sÌessful if it succeeds in doubling the invested capital within five to seven years.
