August Spark was created by Michael Cassidy and Stephen Wall to help entrepreneurs, founders, and executives grow services companies in and around technology. While our original plan was to build a portfolio of separate and unrelated businesses, our strategy has evolved to focus on our eCommerce thesis. In August 2018, we acquired and subsequently assumed operating roles at BVA, one of the leading Shopify Plus agencies. BVA creates and markets digital storefronts (websites) for leading and emerging direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands. We subsequently acquired two additional companies to enhance our digital media and eCommerce technical capabilities.We are actively considering additional acquisitions in and around eCommerce, direct-to-consumer (DTC), Shopify, digital media and related segments.
